Stand up for your rights

I knew I would get flak for coming out with my views on this surgery, but all I can say is even if, by some fluke, I was the only patient who had poor results then I think others thinking of getting HT have a right to know, and a right to know what disappointment and stress you can feel as a result. For me it was 6 months of waiting for and willing the hair to grow, all this time knowing really that it wasn't going to be good. Then months of wondering where it went wrong, thinking perhaps if you give it a few more months & even blaming yourself. Then the next year you are deciding what to do about it. Should you have more surgery? What if it gets worse? Then I guess you either just put up with it and get on with life or risk more surgery. I'm sure this sounds familiar to those who have done it...

So instead of waking up in the morning and feeling great about how your new hair looks, you are pretty much back to square one, but with a whole set of new problems to deal with. This is not what you were promised.

I came out and said what I feel & I am justified in doing so based on the results alone. I am not going to go along pretending something is good when it isn't, even if I receive threats or feel pressured into doing so. I carry the evidence for the claims I have made around with me wherever I go, and if anyone wants to have a look in person I am fine with that.

You're not very clear in your complaint. If you've got scarring, then post a photo of it. If you really want to make your point, show some photos of how you looked before you ever went to Woods. Where were you on the Norwood scale? And the whole shaving thing, did Woods place the grafts on the hairline that you shave, or was that pre-transplant hair?
